He knows every leaf that falls… So does he not know about you?

Every movement… every stillness… every word… every life that is born… every weak one who becomes strong… and every strong one who becomes weak…

Every ray of sunlight that is sent… every wave of the sea that extends… every bite in the mouth of the hungry… every painful or joyful event.

All that was… all that is happening now… and all that will be… is within the knowledge of Allah, Al-‘Aleem… in Allah’s preserved Book…

In “The Race of the Leaves”, we will contemplate with Maryam the effects of Allah’s Majesty as manifested in His Name, Al-‘Aleem… from a leaf that falls by His knowledge…

to an ant that hides among grains of soil… to a fetus that is created, grows, forms, and is shaped… to a drop of water sent to wherever Allah wills and encompasses… to a tear that is shed… a laugh that is released… hands raised in supplication… Allah has encompassed with His knowledge every particle upon the earth and every creature in the sky…

We will contemplate together the effects of Allah’s knowledge and conduct ourselves with reverence toward His Name, Al-‘Aleem. We will observe our outward behavior and purify our inner hearts…

So that we may come to Allah with upright conduct and a sound heart… that Allah may be pleased with us…

 

" وَمَا تَسقُطُ مِن وَرَقَةٍ إَلّا يَعلَمُهَا"

 (الأنعام : 59)

“ not a leaf falls, but He knows it. “
(Al-An‘ãm : 59)
