Tafakkur is a scientific research, training, and educational development institution founded in 2008 in Jordan. It strives to build the creative moral individual capable of building civilization and achieving renaissance, and to prepare the educational environments necessary to achieve that.
Contact UsTo be the leading scientific institution that offers an integrated scientific and applied methodological vision to educational institutions and families, enabling them to succeed in raising their children to be creative and moral, and capable of fulfilling their future role in the renaissance of their nations.
We contribute to developing the educational reality by offering innovative research, applied programs, and training to nurture the creative moral character.
The department conducts analytical studies and develops methodological visions aimed at proposing solutions to address the challenges and issues facing the Arab and Islamic educational reality. It works to connect theory with practice and to benefit from scientific research in order to develop the educational field and practically equip it with tools that support its advancement, considering it a foundational pillar in the rise of the Ummah.
The Scientific Research Team conducts specialized theoretical and experimental studies in the fields of integrated character building, teaching the Worship of Contemplation, developing creativity and intelligence, building self-esteem, and developing moral behavior. These studies are carried out in partnership with dozens of scientific institutions across various countries and in collaboration with educational staff who work directly with children within educational institutions. Study samples range from 50 students to 8,500 students in some studies.
This department organizes training programs at the local and international levels to disseminate a culture of integrated character building, teach the Worship of Contemplation, develop creativity and intelligence, and build morality and self-esteem. It also aims to prepare accredited supervisors of the Tafakkur Program who form the nucleus of development within educational institutions and work as field leaders to support educational institutions in achieving their developmental vision and advancing toward the model of the Creative Moral School.
In addition, the department qualifies parents, mothers and fathers, to build the child’s character, thinking, and intelligence in an integrated manner, establish a positive relationship with the child, and regulate behavior in accordance with brain research and the purified Prophetic Sunnah.
The Accreditation and Quality Certification Department seeks to raise the level of efficiency and excellence in educational institutions through the development and application of precise standards in line with global best practices. The department aims to improve the quality of education and ensure the achievement of desired outcomes by providing educational institutions with the guidance and support necessary to attain the highest levels of quality and academic accreditation.
The team works to develop the educational process in a comprehensive and sustainable manner, based on the belief that education is the foundation for achieving sustainable development. The department focuses on supporting and developing educational institutions in ways that benefit future generations and strengthen their capacity to face challenges and achieve excellence.

In addition, through specialized academic experts, the department translates Tafakkur curricula and scientific and training programs into other languages to enable their use in non-Arabic-speaking countries. It also translates foreign educational books into Arabic to support the development and advancement of the educational field.

After reviewing a professional journey of more than four and a half decades in education as a teacher of all subjects across all grade levels starting from first grade, as a learner in five Arab countries in addition to the United States, and as a trainer in the fields of giftedness, thinking, and creativity in most Arab countries,I can say with complete confidence that a clear glimmer of hope has emerged in the program of the Tafakkur institute in confronting one of the greatest and most dangerous problems afflicting Arab educational systems (and I say educational, not pedagogical). This problem lies in the mechanical and unresponsive instruction of textbook content and the excessive focus on grades students obtain in traditional school and national examinations. This type of education was described by the Brazilian thinker Paulo Freire in three words: acquisition, storage, and retrieval on an examination answer sheet.
Allow me also to point to the removal of social-emotional learning standards, which should constitute an essential foundation that must not be neglected in our curricula and practices inside and outside classrooms. The consequences of this removal include resorting to violence instead of dialogue and respect for differing opinions in our schools, universities, villages, and Bedouin communities across all sectors. I observed this phenomenon over a period of five years in most Arab countries I visited, which led me to begin authoring my book on Emotional Intelligence and Social-Emotional Learning.
Sincere efforts grounded in faith in the true mission of education have, after more than twenty years of diligent work, borne fruit in the achievement of the Tafakkur Program levels, which have been adopted by enlightened schools in dozens of Arab and non-Arab countries. Any informed expert who examines these curricula cannot help but record, in golden letters, their uniqueness in accordance with the highest international curriculum standards.
